Putting Fresh Eyes on Video Content for a Global Leader in the Vision Industry
Bringing Alcon’s state-of-the-art vision care into the modern era of YouTube infotainment

Alcon — a world leader in vision care and products — came to us for help with updating some of their older informational video content for use on their YouTube channel. Our goal was to produce a modern look and feel, presenting content that’s practical and informative while avoiding the horror-film vibes sometimes associated with eye surgery — because medical decisions and procedures are scary enough already.

Working from diagrams and reference video footage, we created 3D animations of Alcon’s revolutionary diagnostic machine, emulating real-life lighting and texturing scenarios. We maximized versatility by building the videos from smaller blocks of animation that can be rearranged and repurposed to create shorter versions in both English and French.

Ultimately, we delivered a series of three videos (1, 2, 3) along with several cutdown versions of each to be used across social media. The look and feel we created encourages a sense of peace around a topic that can be unsettling for many. Viewers are left with newfound knowledge that empowers them to take action while assuring them of Alcon’s authority in the field.
